The village of S. Andrea in Corona and nearby Calpeglio only a few hundred metres away make up a ancient rural centre of medieval origin. Built on a hill overlooking the course of the river Candigliano, the village is surrounded by more than 15 hectares of land, about 70% of which was cultivated until recently, the remaining land being land given over to forestry.
