Measuring and weighting the factors that Americans value most, Money magazine in 2009 divulged what Warren residents innately knew. Warren! is a great place to live. In writing of the communitys 6th place ranking on its list of Americas best small towns, Money cited its quality of life, semi-rural ambiance, highly valued educational and recreational opportunities and convenient access to local and Manhattan business centers. Ranked also was the indefinable something - the mix of community spirit, can-do attitude, and simple charm - that makes certain towns magnets for those looking for a great little place to live.Set on a quiet, tree-lined street, this grandly scaled colonial flanked by crimson barn, verdant pasture and in ground pool captures the essence of easy country living. Like a trusted friend the homes natural surround offers a come-as-you-are welcome to its gracious, relaxed interior. In the formal living room, tall 4 over 6 pane windows provide a period tone while the dining rooms triple window captures the homes sylvan surround. Across the foyer, a vaulted ceiling adds architectural drama to the family room, the wood- burning fireplace hints of cozy evenings and wide glass doors nimbly glide open to the inviting deck. And who could resist lingering in the updated kitchen where autumn-hued granite countertops complement richly toned cherry cabinetry? For the cook, functionality is provided by top-of-the line appliances and a center island adds to the well-planned preparation areas. In the dining area the expansive bay window offers views to the pool where children, now grown, frolicked in the summer sun. And to the barn and pasture where a myriad of four-legged friends received their devoted care.

Whatever your interest you should be able to find it here: History, natural scenery, nature, walking, water sports, gastronomy, markets, rural life........ The village of Carlux, dominated by the ruins of its 13th century chateau sits at the heart of all of these sites. Within a 45 minute drive you will find the vast majority of the principle sites of the Dordogne and the Lot. SARLAT One of the finest examples of a mediaeval town in France. The centre of the town is picturesque and all the buildings are beautifully preserved. Market days (Wednesday and Saturday) are well worth a visit and an evening visit is a must as all the old town is lit up. During the period between mid July and early August there is a theatre festival and throughout the summer you are able to watch the street performers and listen to the musicians who perform in the streets of the old town. BEYNAC & CASTLENAUD Two of the great chateaux of the Dordogne, dating from the 13th century and playing pivotal roles during the Hundred Years War. Castelnaud has an impressive museum of warfare, and both have spectacular views of the Dordogne river (and each other!) GARDENS OF MARQUAYSSAC & EYRIGNAC Two contrasting styles of gardens, Marquayssac perched on the cliffs above the Dordogne valley has small formal gardens and then extensive walks along the cliff tops to the Belvédère overlooking La Roque Gageac (one of the prettiest villages in France). Eyrignac, located about 7km form us is one of the foremost gardens of France, very formal and mainly green! The gardens of Cadiot (in the English style) are also in the vicinity. ROCAMADOUR One of the most visited sites in France and a must see. Stunning architecture, the village clings to the hillside. Kings of France have been crowned here and it is one of the key pilgrimage points on the route to Santiago. A total of 7 churches are located on the religious level. LA ROQUE ST CHRISTOPHE One of the most incredible attractions in the region, a UNESCO World Heritage site, La Roque St Christophe is a 1km long cliff, 80mts high with 5 enormous galleries. Since troglodyte days, it has been a place of safe refuge. You get to see how the city was arranged and there are working replicas of the lifts which were needs to bring supplies up the cliff face. He also advised us on parking and driving to Rome. Local town of Ciuffenna had a good range of shops - butchers, bakers, small supermarket, pharmacy. Enjoyed meals in the local restaurants. » Thierry j. belgium (20/08/08) Dear Paolo, we had a wonderful time at Villino Blu... Special greatments of all the guests to you and your wife. Bye, Thierry » Leenaerts holland (01/08/08) The kindness and hospitality of " paolo" addressed our very. The willingness to explain to something and reception with among other things bread and wine, ham and eggs does not encounter you fast. In short: Italian hospitality!! Regina and ragnar norway (16/07/2008) Dear Paolo and Annalisa, You have been great hosts, and your regular gifts of fresh eggs, vegetables and ham made us feel even more welcome. The house is perfect for families with or without children, and very secure so the small bambinos can not run away. The standard is impeccable, and you were always available in case of questions, and we, our children and grandchildren loved the place. The only suggestion we have is that you will make (or put on your website) a small booklet with simple information about shops, restaurants etc. in the nearby area, as there are so many fantastic things to see (so we have to come back!!) We wish you all the best, and we have many good memories from our stay in Villino Blu. With best regards Regina and Ragnar 27/05/08 Bastain k. Germany Dear Paolo, attached you find our valuation. It was so great to stay at your house! Thank you a thousand times! Best regards Bastain Our testimony: If the valuation above is meant like a school grade (1 = best grade; 5= worst grade) in all categories it`s definitely the best grade!!!! There is just one word to describe the accommodation: PERFECT !!!!! It is a stunning place to stay. We had a very warm welcome of the owner and if there was any problem he always was there to solve it (to be honest there were nearly no problems to solve at all). The equipment leaves nothing to be desired; above all to have a dishwasher was great. It was fantastic to stay at Villino Blu and every one of us 12 guests would recommend it to other friends! Best regards Bastian, Joanna, Markus, Josalda, Barbara, Hedi, Peter, Ante, Amandine, Tobias, Sabine, Steven 15/01/08 Kylie W Singapore We had a wonderful stay and couldn't have been happier. Villino Blu was as perfect in reality as it was on the website. We were overwhelmed by our host Paolo's generosity and the warm and friendly welcome we received. Our friends who joined us were equally impressed and also loved their stay at Villino Blu / Loro Ciuffenna. The only reason we rated the equipment as 4 (& not 5) was we would have liked a microwave, however, this is extremely minor and did not detract from our stay. We enjoyed our time at Villino Blu so much that we have recently recommended the Villa to some of our Australian friends who will be visiting Tuscany in July 2008 – we hope they take our advice; they won't be disappointed! Kind regards, Don H. and Kylie W. 02/10/07 Bernhard z. Deutsch Liebe Vermieter, eigentlich wollte ich auf italienisch schreiben - aber nun doch auf Deutsch.
